Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G in for review

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi Note 13 5G, and we’ve just got a unit at office to review. But before starting our review process, let’s unbox the Redmi Note 13 5G and see what’s on offer.

We’ve got the Ocean Teal version of the Redmi Note 13 5G, which comes in a white-colored retail box, including a protective case, charging cable, a 33W power adapter, and a SIM ejector tool.

The Redmi Note 13 5G is powered by the Dimensity 6080 SoC, has up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard, and runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. It’s built around a 6.67″ FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera but doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner underneath since that’s embedded in the power button.

Turn the phone around, and you see a square-shaped camera island housing an LED flash and three cameras – 108MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth. The Redmi Note 13 5G is IP54-rated and has a flat design, which some might not find ergonomic enough.

Fueling the entire package is a 5,000 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port at up to 33W. The smartphone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IR blaster, and an NFC chip, which is market-dependent.

We’ll begin our review process shortly, so stick around to find out how the Redmi Note 13 5G performed.
